What's the difference between a cocktail and a drink? Hell, we don't know! As near as can be said, a drink is alcohol, a mixer, and (or not) ice. A cocktail is something carefully constructed using different ingredients and with finesse. Sometimes, but not always, cocktails are served in stemware, fancy glasses. You be the judge.
.75 oz Freshly squeezed lime juice
1 oz Cointreau, triple sec, or another orange liqueur
1.5 oz Blanco tequila
Kosher salt (optional)
Garnish:
1 Lime wheel
Add the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass or rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.
