What's the difference between a cocktail and a drink? Hell, we don't know! As near as can be said, a drink is alcohol, a mixer, and (or not) ice. A cocktail is something carefully constructed using different ingredients and with finesse. Sometimes, but not always, cocktails are served in stemware, fancy glasses. You be the judge.
1/4 cup coffee-flavored liqueur (such as Kahlua(R))
1/4 cup lemon-lime soda (such as Sprite(R))
1/4 cup vodka
Gently layer the coffee-flavored liqueur, lemon-lime soda, and vodka into either a shot glass or a cocktail glass filled with ice. This is a layered drink so pour them in the order listed and do not mix the layers before drinking! Drink with a straw until all layers are gone.
