Burger - Bluegrass Cafe Cheeseburger

It s generally agreed throughout the world that a sandwich is two pieces of bread with something in-between. As if we were not confused enough, we have tried to list sandwiches by type: sandwich, burgers, grilled cheese, submarine, sausage (includes hot dogs), stuffed, open-face.

Burger - Bluegrass Cafe Cheeseburger

1 soft 8 or 9-inh hoagie roll, split, not separated
1 (about 4 ounces) hamburger pattie
2 slices provolone cheese
Slivered onions
Slivered lettuce
2 slices tomato, very thin
Salt and pepper to taste
Dried oregano (or Italian seasoning)
Mayonnaise

While the meat is cooking, lay out the hoagie roll and spread eah side with mayonnaise. Spread slivered lettuce on the bottom half of the roll, followed by two slices tomato, slivered onions, salt and pepper and a sprinkle of oregano. Cut the cooked beef pattie in half and place end-to-end on top of the lettuce, tomato and onions. Top with provolone cheese, lose and let set for about 30 seconds for the cheese to begin melting. Serve immediately.
