Chili - Black-Eyed Pea Chili
1 lb sausage
2 Tbsp dried minced onion
1 tsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 (6-oz) can tomato paste
1 (14.5-oz) cans diced tomatoes
1 (10-oz) can diced tomatoes with green chiles
1 (16-oz.) package frozen black-eyed peas
2-1/4 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
salt and pepper, to taste
Cook ground beef and sausage in a large skillet until no longer pink. Drain fat. Combine all ingredients to 6-qt slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
