What's the difference between a cocktail and a drink? Hell, we don't know! As near as can be said, a drink is alcohol, a mixer, and (or not) ice. A cocktail is something carefully constructed using different ingredients and with finesse. Sometimes, but not always, cocktails are served in stemware, fancy glasses. You be the judge.
750 ml vodka (1 bottle)
750 ml spiced rum (1 bottle—could also use dark blackstrap rum.)
3 cups fresh lime juice
3 cups pineapple juice
1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
108 ounces strong ginger beer (9 12-ounce bottles)
Pour the vodka, rum, lime juice, pineapple juice, and nutmeg in a large 2 gallon jug or beverage dispenser. Stir and refrigerate until ready to serve. Right before serving, pour in the ginger beer. Garnish with fresh pineapple slices, ginger slices, and lime slices if desired.
